Singapore Idol Finals.

For the first time, I felt goosebumps onstage.

Actually it wasn't just me, the rest did too when we sang for Sezairi's Touched By An Angel performance.

It's like you could really feel the fans' love for him.

The atmosphere really got to me.

I really feel lucky to have been part of a big event.

I'm grateful for the experience & exposure.

And the goosebumps are one of the best feelings I've ever experienced!

Some people find it no surprise that Sezairi won cos he's a guy & girls vote for guys while guys don't vote for girls blah blah blah.

Plus, it's third in a row that a malay guy won again.

Bcos of this, racism remarks are flying arnd on da net.

In my opinion, I didn't care who won.

Both were great in their own way.

Sylvia def. has great vocals, the whole package.

But I think Sezairi won bcos he has a large & supportive fanbase.

And no, it doesn't consist of just malays.

If it's like that their votes wouldn't be enough for him to win.

You should have been there to know why he won.

When he sang the Idol song, he really touched the crowds' hearts, he really connected with the audience.

Hence, to me that's why he won.

End of story.

You are worthy of your heart's desire, but getting it requires the best of you.

Since I'm waiting for my food in Cafe World to be done, I shall blog! hehe.

Life's been v busy. I know, nothing new haha.

It's the holidays now actually but my schedule's filled with Event commitments, Dance & Acapella practices.

So I still hafta wake up early almost everyday but today I think I woke up @ 1pm?

YAY! haha :D

Anyways, I'm currently trying to finish up my dance elective by this month.

Learning Contemporary, Jazz -Lyrical, S.E. Asian (Chinese Dance) & Fundamentals of Body Movement.

And usually dance is 4-6 hours straight.

The good thing is...I'm finally dancing again! :D

Acapella.

Was gna sing lead for Last Christmas but had to forgo the Jazzanova performance bcos it clashes with my group's Club Illqya (LPD) event on that day :/

But at least I'm gna join 'em for Singapore Idol Finals! YAY :D

Gna be in the choir for that day along with Show Choir.

This xmas, I'm gna spent it with my girls :]

Since we rarely have time to meet up now.

I think the last time was Kelly's birthday which was in Oct? haha.

So far I've no new year eve plans yet but I'm def. gna celebrate it heh.

sorry for the late update!
Been busy ever since school started.
Can't blog as much as I did during the holidays heh.

I have a cough & it's been with me for a few days, I think a week already.
It doesn't want to leave me!
BOOOOOO.
I've been staying away from chocs, fizzy drinks.
Have been only drinking stuff like green tea, honey, water.
I guess oily food is hard to avoid cos mostly all the food here is oily, fatty bleh.
But it's getting better I guess.

Specially for Nyayi.

My grandma (father's side) passed away yesterday.
Immediately went to attend her funeral when we got to know about it.
Cried silently while we were cabbing there.
The driver got curious & asked where we were heading to, what occasion.

When I entered the room, I can't help but to cry again when I saw her lying on the bed, covered.
She was so small, so fragile.
My aunt then lifted the cloth to let me see her face.
And immediately the waterworks started again.

It was like my first time attending a funeral actually tho' it was my 2nd.
My 1st was my grandpa's funeral, also my father's side.
But back then I was still a little girl so I couldn't really remember much about it.
Of cos I do have memories of him.

My nyayi & yayi looked so cute together.
It was like they were meant for each other, so compatible.
I still remember I used to visit them a lot when I was little.

I'm lucky I got to kiss her, say goodbye & see her again for one last time.
I wished I could've hugged her tho'.
I'll definitely miss her.

I'm sure she's at a better place now & God will take good care of her.
Maybe she's reunited with my grandpa now in heaven, who knows.
But I like to think she is. :]

It was nice to see my relatives again.
I never got to visit them last Hari Raya.
So many of my cousins have children now, either were married or getting married soon.
My father was there too, he brought along my step-sister.
Yes, I'm slowly accepting the fact now that I have one.
Her name's Lydia.

It helped that they were all those happy-go-lucky kinda people.
No matter what, laughter & smiles were always present.
It made yesterday easier.
I forgot how much of a clown my father was, in a good way of course.
It's lyke he will always slot in a joke in everything he says haha.

Saturday

I've never been stuck in a train for soooo long before.
What a way to start my morning too pfft.
I was stuck at Hougang, Kovan, Potong Pasir, Boon Keng, Serangoon.
For each stop I was stuck for arnd 10 mins or more.
I was stuck at some of the other stations too but only for awhile.
Imagine how long I had to wait to get myself to Outram Park.
I think if I was stuck any longer, I would've memorised the NEL lol :P

I was so glad I had a storybook in hand to keep me company & help me pass time.
(I'm currently reading The Juliet Club by Suzanne Harper btw hehe.)
The cause was the train before mine which broke dwn or somethin' I think.
The announcement was so muffled I couldn't comprehend what the woman was saying.
In da end, I also had trouble tapping out cos I spent too much time in da mrt lol.
And I was late for vocal class. bleh.

I know we're supposed to live life with no regrets but sometimes, you can't help but wish you could turn back time and change a situation or prevented something from happening.
But we're supposed to make mistakes so we live & learn.

I just wished I knew back then what I know now.
Perhaps things would've been different now.
Perhaps things wouldn't have changed.
But everything happens for a reason.
Eventually, it's for the best.

It's good to be in control of your life; to choose the paths you take.
But there are just some things that are better left to fate, such as love.
If it's meant to be, it will work out perfectly.
And some things are better left unsaid.
Whatever happens, happens.
Let nature take it's course.
Let it be.

Emotions can be dangerous at times.
It can make you do irrational stuff.
That's why you should always keep your emotions in check & never act on impulse.
Never let your heart rule your head.

There's also no point denying what my heart feels.
I can't change how I feel about someone & how much someone means to me.

So we stayed until Shaggies finished performing and wenta Boat Quay.
Ate at Shah Alam instead.
Ended up having a nice time :]

Had dance practice in da morning @ RP with Nisa, Vern & Aisyah :]
Afterwards, met up with my Ohana.




He's Just Not That Into You.
this is def. a must-watch movie, I swear.
it's a great movie, v. meaningful.
recommended for BOTH men & women.
it taught me a lot more about love...
or rather, reminded me more of what I already know. hmm.
anyways, it has a superb cast too.
Jennifer Aniston, Ben Affleck etc.
